On the call of the national leadership, the farmers going to Delhi for the proposed demonstration regarding various demands were stopped near Quarsi intersection under the leadership of SP City Kuldeep Singh Gunawat. Farmers were requested not to go to Delhi. When the farmers protested, the police laid siege. Angry farmers sat on the dharna there and started creating ruckus while raising slogans. Somehow he calmed down and handed over the memorandum addressed to the President to Naib Tehsildar Kol.
National President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Sunil Sunil Chowdhary was going to travel to Delhi on Sunday in more than 50 vehicles with office bearers to support wrestlers in Delhi and to demand various problems related to farmers. As soon as the convoy reached Nurture School Ramghat Road, the police force including SP City Kuldeep Singh Gunawat, CO Civil Lines, Quarsi, Mahuakheda stopped them. The farmers were adamant on going to Delhi. National President Sunil Chowdhary asked the reason for stopping and protesting against the dictatorship of the administration sat on the dharna on Ramghat Road itself.
Fellow farmers started raising slogans against the BJP government. Sunil Chowdhary said that the daughters of the country, who increased the country’s respect, today the same daughters are begging for justice on the road. It is unfortunate that the deaf and dumb BJP government is protecting the accused MP Braj Bhushan. The farmers demanded that MP Brij Bhushan should be subjected to narco test and his membership of the Lok Sabha should be canceled and he should be sent to jail. The farmer is with his sisters and daughters. If the wrestlers do not get justice soon, then farmers from all over the country will camp in Delhi.
The farmers remained on strike for about an hour. Somehow the officers explained to the farmers. At last the farmers handed over the memorandum to the President to Naib Tehsildar Kol Anjali Kumari. Sohail Pathan, Vinod Priyadarshi, Ranjit Chowdhary, Amit Chowdhary, Sharad Yadav, Seema Yadav of Mahila Morcha, Ravi Baghel, Sunita Yadav, Alka Sharma, Sonwati, Harendra Singh, Jitendra Sharma etc were present in the dharna.
